I've been saying for a while that a true threat to World of Warcraft must be more than really good. It must do something that WoW simply does not, and with authority. Vanguard looks like a good place to start. Look for it this winter.
Surely a daunting perspective, but can Sigil Games "Vanguard" really live up to the hype? IGN seem to think so, getting the chance to play the game extensively at this years E3.
What they say mostly impressed them about the game, is the sheer amount of customization and open-endedness available to the player. Never before seen amounts of mounts, armor, craftable items and even character customization combine with an absolutely massive, sprawling world that is only bound to grow even further, as most features will note ven make it into the first release this winter!
