Hide and Seek

Over the last view days I have discovered the lost lyceum of Ingolas and the elven school of magic. Both places look so amazingly beautiful I desperately wanted to explore them a bit more. But the high elves in all their arrogance played with the wrong kind of magic and both places are now in control by Kaon powers. The school is even floating in the sky. I tried to find an access to it, but I suspect the only access is via the lyceum. And there my real problems started. The entrance to the lyceum is guarded by elementals. 4dot giants that I simply can't defeat alone.

But wait, am I not a ranger? I could go into hiding and sneak past, right? Wrong! My hide and seek skills were so pathetic I could as well come running down waving my arms. I had never really used these skills because I prefer the direct route of 'kill first talk later'. But I really really wanted to get in. So after trying out several spots near the elementals (who fortunately don't move around) I found a spot where one of them could see me from the corner of his eye, but he was not sure I was there and didn't attack. Every time he thought he saw something I improved my hide and seek skills a tiny bit.

So for an hour or two I just crouched there next to the elemental till my hide and seek skills gotten up to 150 and I felt I could really call myself a ranger. At least enough to fool them. I could now walk into the lyceum. The place was filled with many many more 4dots, and I couldn't really find the portal to the school. I did find the wizards book I was sent for however. So I sneaked out again in the hope the elf that had sent me could decipher the book I found.

Unfortunately that was not really the case. She wanted to dump a quest on me to kill a whole bunch of fairies inside the lyceum. Although nothing pleases me more than killing fairies, a small crowded area filled with 4dots didn't sound tempting at all. Maybe if I get a couple of seasons stronger I will return, but for now the magic school will be shrouded in mystery to me.

My next mission will be to find some non-moving level 22 or higher creatures that I can use to further my hide and seek skills. I feel real ranger blood flowing through my vines now.

RE: Hide and Seek

One thing is obvious; without a doubt Vanguard has some of the best looking landscapes and places to just explore and soak in.
