Hopeing to share and help people know, so started this thread to show what enhancement dusts make what object.
Like-
Strength Dust = Sentry object
Int dust = Chalatans object.
So that everyone knows which dusts to buy to make that special item.

Dex - Brigand's
Tyrlien Darkwynd
Skara Brae Guild - Co-Leader
Everquest 2 - Half Elf Swashbuckler
Vanguard - Half Elf Rogue

How exactly do you use them to apply the stats to the item? I didn't try very hard to figure it out, but what little effort I did, it was confusing to me.

I think I have figured that part out just this morning. When you are converting some raw materials from harvesting into usable crafting base meterials you can add the dust. I didn't actually my dust yet, but that is the first place I saw I could actually use it.

Hi Damion Mage and Welcome to the Vanguard portion of GameAmp. I just turned level 5 as a Blacksmith in Vanguard and have a craft training quest that might help explain dust usage, so I hope to have more to add next time but for now nice to see another new participant here. :)

I did my first "dust" craft yesterday. It was a refining recipe and at one point a button popped up with the dust symbol on it and clicking on it added the dust to the recipe. Not sure if it is the same for all but it was inbetween the 2nd and 3rd steps.

I did a few of these last night as I needed them. Well, I thought I did. After the fact I found out that I only needed one of the type of copper ingot in the list for my recipe. Anyways, the benefit to it is that I have a list of what a few of the different types of dusts make...
dust type = Item type
Vitality = Votarys
Constitution = Drifters
Dex = Brigands
Wisdom = Mystics
Strength = Sentrys
Intelligence = Charlatans
Those are the ones that I made last night. I'll add more as I work them out.

Nice data, BP! How did you find it out? Did you buy the dust somewhere?

Aye, I bought the dusts from an exotic crafting items vendor, then crafted myself some copper ingots with each of the ones I bought. There's still a few dusts she had that I haven't done yet.

Wow thanks, as some of the recipes require the various types of ingots and I was looking for the ingot as a type or recipe and now I understand so much better as to what is required!

Awesome list, thanks BP!
At first I found the recipe ingredients listing somewhat confusing when it listed all those different types of boards for example... when really it is only 1 out of that list that you need! *duh* Pays to read and re-read! heheh

That's exactly what I thought too, and the reason I made so many of them last night. I thought I needed one of each initially.
Honestly though, when I was done and found out that I only needed one of them, I was a bit disappointed. It's like when you work really hard at something only to realize that 3/4 of the work you did was in vain because you didn't really need to do it in the first place.
But still, when I started I had no idea what made what, so at least some good came from it. :)

Yep I have to admit I saw that work request or maybe it was a recipe for a finished item but I saw that list of specialized copper bars and thought I might never find the time to do that one but I have this problem where I can't delete a quest once I take it. hee hee. Good to know any 1 of the "special" bars will work. :) Ok I have to rave for a second about how after a couple of decades of fido net forums, uunet newsgroups, and a variety of game forums that this has been by far the most helpful place to come for information and inspiration. Thanks to everyone that continues to contribute to making this part of GameAmp so great.

Let me make things even more interesting. As a reward for your tier2 crafting quest you receive tier2 dust. It is yellowish in stead of blue. And it impacts three stats. I have no idea anymore what it is called, but your list is not yet complete :)

Yup those are the tier 1 dusts above. :-) I'm going to need a new notebook!

I lurked here for sometime before signing up and becoming addicted myself. :-P It's refreshing to see everyone being so helpful here instead of all the *whine* posts I see on so many community boards. You've all totally won me over!

GameAmp forums are indeed a true pleasure to post at. And I am thrilled to hear you two love it as much as I do. And it is thanks to folks like you it stays like that. Now just hoping more people will come to visit and post. Because I think most people enjoy GameAmp style forums. But to get more people over I should be getting more data on the site, and that is a daunting task.
(sorry bp for blowing away your dust story)

Oh, I know it's far from complete. Even for the tier 1 dusts. The merchant must have had about 10 to 15 more dusts that I didn't buy becuase at 2s a pop, I couldn't afford them all. I'll be sure to add to my list though, as I get more to add. The good news is that apparently the "Set of" work orders apparently reward you with dust pretty frequently, so I'll have to see if that's true.
And Phe, you didn't blow it away, I must have done poor job of explaining that my list was only about 1/3 or 1/4 of the available ones.

I gotta say that the game just offers such a nearly overwhelming number of items drops that it can be a bit much to fathom at first but today I at least got a real good feel for how to use some oils that I picked up as a drop and actually had to buy some of the generic oil to replace the nice one that dropped. Without reservation though I can say that complexity is enjoyable long term though I do acknowledge the practical need to take break just to let some of the methods and concepts really sink in.
