| A beautiful mind is a terrible thing to waste. |

I am plauged by a curse it seems. From time to time I will have these wonderful phrases pop into my head, sometimes poetic, sometimes profound, but always in pieces and never a creation of my own.
Most recently was today when this popped into my head..
"A phoenix by any other name..."
I couldn't place it at first, but after pondering it for a moment, I seemed to recall something along the lines of "A rose by any other name..." but couldn't recall if that was the sum of it, or if there should be more to it.
Anyway, a quick google revealed this.** Once again, the wonderful grey matter in my head took something that I didn't know I knew and twisted it to fit my situation. The situation being that of a need for a new username for another site.
Now if I can just figure a fitting completion to that, perhaps I'll use it in a sig some time. On a slightly larger note, if I could ever figure out how to harness this oddity of my brain, perhaps I could somehow figure out how to solve world hunger, or maybe make gold out of lead or something...
Is anyone else plagued by similiar or in no way related circumstances?
**Thank goodness for the internet. If it hadn't been for Google, I'd have been agonizing over where that came from for weeks.

I am exactly the same!! Except I never have things popping in my head. They usually come dripping in via my left ear. And they are not strings of text, but images. Unfortunately I have horrible drawing skills, so I they are just stuck in my mind till they (probably) drip out again. And the fact that English is not my native language might have something to do with that. Because everybody knows that people that speak English from birth know how to draw. Glad I agree with myself on that.
(don't worry. I don't even understand what I just wrote myself)

I do not feel bad my drawing skills are absolutely abysmal. Phedre_D should never worry because your use of English here puts many from birth speakers to shame; including myself. :) I bet lots of people wonder how they before google and other search engines and once again BlackPhoenix shares with us the wonderfull tidbits of the world he finds out on the net. :)

From another perspective... it's when the random thoughts STOP popping into your head you need to worry. :-) I have always been one to remember details, bank accounts numbers, passwords, even the phone number we had when I was 10 years old! (gawd i'm old) ... so it's very frustrating when as you age those tidbits of information just seem to elude you.
... that's where Google comes in. ;-)
