While I started working on my new level 8 work orders at the finishing table one of the NPC's that has always been hanging around there all of sudden started looking over my shoulder. First I thought nothing of it, but she didn't go away. So I stopped working and turned around. She said she had been seeing me working with increasing skills on all kind of jute and leather materials and she wondered if I could help her out getting some of her gear repaired. "Wow," I thought "One of the NPC is actually noticing me. My hard work is paying off." Although she had a rather dumb look in her eyes, she clearly was an important person, and a Raki like me as well. So I offered to help her out. "Thanks! Here is my sword and chainmail armor. Please return them to me once you have repaired them." And before I could object that I am a outfitter she walks off. So here I am, stuck with a blunt sword and cracked armor. Any idea how and where I could repair them?
And once I have figured it out does this mean from level 8 crafters can repair anything they want, including their own stuff? That would be nice!

I would guess that would require the services of a blacksmith, but who knows. I just made level 7 blacksmithing last night, so I guess I better keep my eyes open for npc looking over my shoulder.

Wow now that is something new isn't it? I don't think I've encountered anything like that in a game before. Interesting info! Thx.

Don't get too excited, Tyr :) I just gave it an extra spin. The NPC was standing at her usual spot, but now she had a quest shield above her head. So I clicked on her and took the 'quest'. The rest was just a little RP story. I am quite sure she has always been standing at that location. Apparently I could also get workorder from her, but I had already 3 orders so I don't know what kind of orders she hands out.

Oooooo so good! ;-) You have a way with words Phed... *sneaky Raki* It would still be neat though if an npc would search you out in game and offer a quest. :-)

OOOOO that is so cool. Man after the group last night I tried to grind some craft time but ran out of materials and was really tired and knew I was pushing it. With a few folks starting to get that is this a grind feeling it sure is nice to have something to look forward too. I hope to make Blacksmith 5 by this weekend and right now it looks like Phedre_D is at the crafting lead with BlackPhoenix trailing closely. Hard to imagine this is only the 2nd week of the game being live. This game is going to provide us with a rich offering of content to investigate and fathom. :) Great info. here as always.

It would be great, but it might seem odd to have 4 of the same NPC searching for 4 different people who happen to be all in the same place at the same time. :)
On the repairs topic though, there was something metioned a while back about players being able to repair gear. Possibly that is the quest that introduces us to that portion of the game and how it works. Oh yes, here it is.

I gotta say I really look forward to my blacksmith having the chance to repair gear for folks. :) So much to enjoy in this game now and yet we can all see opportunities for much more in this game and eagerly await what the developers bring us.
