From the stratics interview:
| QUOTE | When we previously spoke at E3 you mentioned, pending available time, the possible addition of taxidermy. Has any headway been made on this front?
We are getting closer to being able to look at the special things we want to do this being one of them. We will get a version of it in but depending on time it may initially be very simple. |
This is quite the interesting idea. Especially if there is PvP in Vanguard. Just think, you have just slain your opponent in the arena, what better way to celebrate your victory than to drag his body down to the local taxidermist to have his head mounted on a plaque that you can then hang on the wall in your player housing.
Not for me so much as I don't PvP, but that would be hilarious. But still, I would love to be able to have a souvenier of a monster I defeated in PvE that I could place in my house.

HAHA, great idea to have your enemies decorating the guild hall. But I am sort thinking that they are limiting it to wildlife. At first I didn't see how you could ever made a living out of this. But I guess it will be fun to have have the head of the the uber boss the guild defeated hanging in the hall. But how many taxidermatists would the game need? Although very cool idea, I think I'll skip.

I agree with Phedre on this one. It would be nice to put that beasts head on your wall after an epic battle against it. But I don't think I will be the the guy you bring it to to get it done.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

I'm planning for my main to be a blacksmith. However, if they do actually add it, I may have to make an alt just to try it out. So don't worry, I'll stuff 'em for ya. :)

That would be sw33t to stuff the animals you just killed. I would fill the hall up fast :)
May the force be with you!
