Hello all.
Wanted to take this time to tell you a little bit about our guild, Shadow Company. We are a mercenary guild that does light roleplay and light raiding. We do both equally well, however we force no on in our ranks to do either. Both are optional, but we do ask our members to respect the rights of others that do enjoy these activities.
We are not a L33T guild at all. For our members that do like to roleplay, nothing ruins the immersion more then that type of chat. Example, "Check out this really nice sword I got." That is perfectly acceptable. "CHK out my L33T SWD. It PWNS FTW" Is not acceptable.
Our raid days consist of Mon, Wed, and sometimes Friday on EQ2. However, for Vanguard we will more then likely change those days so we dont burn people out raiding.
We have a strict no drama clause. The first time you receive a warning, the second time you are out of the guild. This is a game and meant to be fun and not a headache.
We have branched out into other games. This gives our members more opertunity, to take a break from one game and jump into another, with people they already know.
We do have an age limit to be in our guild. 18 is the minimum. We look for mature attitude gamers. Our guild has worked hard to keep its reputation in good standing where we play at in all games.
We do tend to be a somewhat larger guild. It takes quite a few people to be able to host roleplay events for our server, and also manage to successfully do high end guild raids. Especially since we never force anyone to attend. However, if we grow to large, we usually put a halt to recruiting for a time. While we are not a small family style guild. We do like the feeling of knowing our members, and building up a trust with them.
Of course when they announce the servers, we will be on a roleplay server. Alot of people play on rp servers for many reasons. I roleplay a little. Maybe 2 out of 8 hours I am in game, if that. Somedays, I may roleplay none at all, and just focus on combat and grinding. Other days, I may get into a good rp storyline, and roleplay for a day or two. Some of my freinds, never roleplay. They came to the rp server, for the simple fact that the gamers tend to be more mature. So I get the best of both worlds, when ever I want. Which I do like, since I pay a monthly fee to play.
Sadly, we are not recruiting just yet for Vanguard. However, as the winter time approaches and the release date gets closer, I will update this thread when we do begin recruiting. Hi Salat,
Great you decided to promote your guild. I walked through your guild halls, and it looks very tempting. Bylie and the Telonian Crusaders will have some serious competition.
I would suggest you add your guild to our guilds section as well. That way future visitors can find your guild even after this post gets buried under all the threads of this bustling busy forum :)
